Fundraising Questions

  • Why do you use telephone fundraising?

Telephone fundraising is a cost-effective method of fundraising that enables us to develop personal relationships with our donors, and have valuable two way communication between our supporters and ourselves.   As with all communications with our donors, we take on board their preferences and will not communicate with them by telephone if they prefer us not to.

  • Why do you spend money on things like street fundraisers, mail-shots and inserts in magazines?

We do this to expand our database of supporters and to raise more money. It is like an investment, and ensures that we have enough money to meet our existing commitments, and to expand our work with people living in poverty.  Mail-shots and inserts and face to face fundraising enable us to reach new, who might not have otherwise heard of us. We are therefore able to engage brand new supporters who are likely to support TREE AID long into the future. We cannot rely solely on our existing supporters to fund our work, so this form of fundraising really is vital in order to ensure that we are able to raise the necessary funds to support our work in the long-term.

  • What is the point of a Survey?

The aim of the survey is to heighten awareness, collect valuable information, which can shape the future of our communications and work.
